Thanks to Simply Pure Ltd for sponsoring Forest & Bird and the Wild Perspective Art Auction at the Auckland War Memorial Museum on Thursday 10th October. Had a fun night and then cruised to Simply Pure’s launch event @ Bar 21 Sky City. Tasted their beautiful Gin and Vodka – which helps support the protection & preservation of our native species. Also, thanks to Carmen Bird Photography for the nice pic to remember the night!

Air NZ & DOCOctober 2nd, 2013
Shane was stoked to be commissioned by Air New Zealand to create a piece inspired by his visit to the Poor Knights Island Marine Reserve in August. The Department of Conservation and Air New Zealand are working hard to protect & preserve our unique marine environment for all to enjoy. Shane was lucky enough to sample the beauty of this environment and paint a piece inspired by it. ‘Dance of the Hiwihiwi’ is the result of that visit. These intriguing little groovers caught Shane’s eye as they dance and frolicked with the swirling waters and hypnotic seaweed.
The original was centre stage on September the 23rd when Air New Zealand launched their continued commitment to DOC and protecting our beautiful surroundings. If you are lucky enough to be flying Air New Zealand during the month of October 2013, you will see ‘Dance of the Hiwihiwi’ as the cover for the KiaOra magazine. Ka Pai Air New Zealand!
